If your telephone or adapter supports it, you can be notified that you have a voicemail message waiting.
This will either be a flashing light (telephones) or stuttered dial tone (adapters and telephones) or sometimes an occasional ring (adapters); you need to check your manual to see how to switch this function off and on and how to receive the message.
How do I use it?
All phones bought from our website will have this feature enabled but for others you may need to consult the manual. You may also need to have the latest firmware installed – please check the manufacturer’s web site.
If your telephone or adapter is listed on our Hardware Help pages, you will find a wizard that will configure all your devices settings to use Voipfone properly – including MWI.
Please see: http://www.voipfone.co.uk/IP_Phone_Setup.php
Some adapters do a regular, partial ring when they have a message waiting. To turn this off you may need to consult your manual. For Sipura’s, you will find it under 'User 1, ‘Ring Settings’. Change any number in the ‘VMWI ring splash length’ box to 0.
How much does it cost?
It's Free!
