Got A PBX Question?

Voipfone’s Virtual PBX is your own customised telephone switchboard, hosted by us on our premises so that you don't have to worry about it - we maintain it and keep it up to date, safe and secure.

It's a 'DIY', plug and play, no-commitment service - you rent only what you need, only for as long as you need it; from a single telephone extension to a call queue and a sophisticated Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system with call recording.

So, if you have any questions at all, or need a broadband product that we don't list here, please email us or call support on 020 7043 5555

Call Pickup – Allow List

There maybe commercial, security or personal reasons why you would wish some extensions to be answerable only by authorised people; for example, you may wish only your PA to answer your phone, or only sales personnel to answer sales calls.

To configure Call Pick-up

The default set-up is for all extensions to have call pick-up enabled so if you wish everyone to be able to answer anybody else's calls you need do nothing.

If you wish to control who can answer which calls, you use the Block tool to configure your phones exactly the way you need them.

On the 'View your PBX' page here: https://www.voipfone.co.uk/extensions.php

Look at the section called 'Extension Number Set-up'. On the right you'll find a button called 'Pickup' next to each of your extensions.

Clicking that button takes you to the set-up page for each extension. https://www.voipfone.co.uk/callpickup.php?ext=200

So, for each extension you can decide which of your other extensions should not be able to pick up your calls. Just choose them from the drop down menu.

Once chosen, you are able to delete them if you need to at a later date.

Don't forget to press 'Save' when you're done.
