Caller ID, sometimes called
CLI, Calling Line Identity, identifies your phone to the
network and is sometimes used by Voipfone to authenticate
your call and is essential for some services to work (Mobile
Call Back for example).
When this is enabled your number is passed on to the called
party who can then see who is calling.
All users have Caller ID enabled as standard
and any user with a geographic or non geographic number allocated
to their account will show these numbers when they make a
call to the PSTN.
