This is a very clever little feature that will save you a lot of money. Once registered with us you can call our special free access number to connect to any telephone, fixed or mobile, anywhere in the world and you will only be charged at our standard low prices.

 

How Much Does It Cost?

 

Because Voipfone is calling you back, the call is much cheaper.

This will save you a lot of money (up to £1.90 per minute for International calls while abroad, and 18p per minute for calls to other UK mobiles, depending on your plan.)

 

You will no longer need to make expensive calls from your mobile phone; you just keep credit in your Voipfone account.

 

The way this works is that Voipfone makes a call to you, then one to the person you’re calling; then connects both together. So you will be charged for two calls. But because our prices are so much lower than your mobile provider even with two calls we are much cheaper.

 

You can find out how much these calls cost by using either the Call Cost Calculator or the Voipfone Calling rates boxes on the left of this page. You add the two calls together to find out how much.

 

So to find out how much a call from your mobile to a land line in the UK would cost, look up calls to UK mobiles (this is Voipfone calling you back); 12p/min (Ex VAT), then calls to UK (this is the number you want to call in the UK; 1p/min (Ex VAT) So thats just 13p/min(Ex VAT) in total.

NOTE: If you are abroad you can avoid roaming charges by buying a cheap local SIM card from the country you are visiting. Remember to enable international calling and make sure your calling ID is switched on.

 

How Do I Use It?

 

First you must register your mobile phone with us. To do this enter your mobile number here https://www.voipfone.co.uk/index.php?action=RegisterMobile Once you’ve registered and, so long as your account is in credit, you can start making calls.

 

To make a call, dial Voipfone’s Free Access number, 020 7099 0808(or 0044 20 7099 0808 if you are outside the UK). You will hear an engaged tone but if you hold for a second or two or just hang up, your mobile will ring. When you answer this call as you normally would, you have a dial tone. Just dial the number you want to call and you’ll be connected as usual. DO NOT press the send button on your mobile phone!
