The Voipfone IVR is a sophisticated Interactive Voice Response system. By adding it to your Voipfone Virtual Switchboard, callers to your business will hear a personalised voice guiding them to the correct extension.
For example “Welcome, please press 1 for Sales, 2 for Accounts, 3 for Support etc” or “hi, please press 1 for Paul, 2 for Sue or 3 if you’re not sure who you need to talk to.”
It is completely customisable to your needs - you can record your own greetings and department names* or use our pre-recorded ones - and you can change them any time you like, as often as you like.
How much does it cost?
As with all things Voipfone, you just buy what you need.
Departments cost £1.99 per month each (ex VAT) and you can get them from our Package Builder in the usual way; just press the ‘Package Builder’ button below.
To use this service you must have purchased at least one extension and one department.
*the customisable feature will be added in a few weeks time and is free feature of the IVR system.
How Do I Use It ?
You select the departments you need from the drop down menus, then the numbers you wish your callers to press to find them and then finally the extension, or group of extensions or call queue that the caller will be sent to. It’s as simple as that; just view the example below.
Setting Your Number To Your IVR
To tell the IVR which of your incoming telephone numbers you want it to answer you just select the number(s) you wish to use from the drop down menus - as in the example below.
Calling The Demonstration IVR
So in our example above, calls to 020 8819 5425 and 020 8819 5426 will be sent to the IVR whilst calls to 020 8819 5424 will ring extension 202. If you wish to hear what it sound like just call one of the IVR numbers. (Don’t worry, no one will answer!)
