How do I set up Call Screening?
To make call screening work effectively, there are a couple of steps required to
configure your call blocking before turning on the call screening feature.
Whitelist your friends and family
The first step is to create a whitelist of all the phone numbers of friends, family and others that you want to allow straight through every time.
In your Control Panel, navigate to the Services → Call Blocking → Inbound Blacklists page. Click on the tab labelled "Whitelist", and then click the green "Add" button.
Enter the phone number of the person, and under "Reason" just enter their name, as a reminder for yourself.
Continue to add numbers until everyone you want to hear from is in the whitelist.
If you make a mistake, just click the "Edit" button and change the number or reason as desired. To remove an entry from the whitelist, click the checkbox to select the relevant row(s), and then click the "Delete Selected" button.
Blacklist your enemies
Is there someone so annoying you wish you had never given them your phone number?
Simply click the "Blacklist" tab, and add their number and name, and then add the numbers and names of all the other people you never want to hear from again as well.
Turn on call screening
Once both your whitelist and blacklist are set up, it's time to turn on your call screening.
In your Control Panel, navigate to your Dashboard. Click the slider on the Call Screening tile to turn the call screening feature on or off.
Note - even with call screening turned off, the nunbers in your call blocking blacklist will still be prevented from calling you.
