Voipfone Softphone Configuration Guide

Our Android Softphone App is simple to set up and use - just follow our how to configuration guide below and you will be ready to go in a couple of minutes.

When you first launch the app, you will be asked to login using either your QR code or your extension information (manual setup, applicable to master accounts).

To obtain your extension's QR code, log into your control panel and head to Manage Softphone.

If you are not logged in as an extension you will need to click Switch To Extension.

Select an extension you want to use with your Voipfone softphone app and hit Switch to Selected Account

You can now use the app to scan the QR code for instant setup.

Manual setup

Firstly, you will need your account number, extension number and your extension password. These can be found at your PBX Extensions page in the control panel (if you're not the account holder you'll need to ask them for these details).

Click the eye icon to view your extension's password:

If you are chosing to log in with your extension information, in the Account Number field please format your input as follows:

[account_number]*[extension number]

So if your account number is 30999999 and your extension number is 200 you would enter: 30999999*200

In the Password field, enter the password for your extension obtained in the previous step.

Please note: If you intend to use your master account with the app, you can log in with just your 8 digit account number and the phone password obtained from ServicesMaster AccountPhone Settings

Once signed in, the app will ask you to read and accept the terms and conditions.

You will then be prompted to allow the app the following permissions:

To transmit your voice:

To be able to dial out:

Incoming call alerts:

The inital setup is now complete. When you're ready to make a call, you can tap on the keypad and input a number or select a contact from your contacts.

You will be able to access and customise other features such as ringtones by tapping on the top right three dots and then settings.

When making calls from the Softphone app, the outgoing phone number will be the Caller-ID (CLI) set for your extension. The account holder can set an extension's CLI here or from ServicesVirtual PBXCaller ID within the Master Account.
